SYRACUSE, August 30, 2019 — Syracuse Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving the greater Syracuse area, announced that Heather Pitts, PNP has joined Syracuse Community Health Center, Inc. as a Nurse Practitioner. Heather will be working in the Pediatrics Department at the Salina Street location.
Heather received an Associate of Science in Medical Assisting at City College in Florida and also an X-Ray Technician Certification from the State of Minnesota. She later received her Associate in Nursing from North Hennepin Community College in Minnesota followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas at Arlington. Having just graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from State University of New York Upstate Medical University, she is now a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Heather has worked several years in pediatric healthcare, ranging from Medical Assistant to Registered Nurse, Clinic Manager and now joins the SCHC family as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Prior RN experience includes hospital settings, private and school-based clinics. Her most recent position was at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh at UPMC. Heather also completed her clinical rotation here in Pediatrics.
