SYRACUSE, October 5, 2017 — Syracuse Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving the greater Syracuse area, announced that Jennifer MacBlane, MS, NP, CNM, Certified Nurse Midwife – OB/GYN, joined Syracuse Community Health Center, Inc. October 1, 2017. Ms. MacBlane will be working in OB/GYN at our main site, located at 819 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York 13202.
Jennifer received her Bachelors of Science in Humanities at Buffalo State College. She received her nursing education at St. Joseph’s College of Nursing, where she also worked as a Registered Charge Nurse and Labor & Delivery Nurse. While at St. Joseph’s, Jennifer also worked as a Clinical Instructor and as a Childbirth Educator. She then received her Masters of Science in Nurse Midwifery from Stony Brook University. As a Midwife, Jennifer has worked in private practice and at Syracuse Midwives. She is also a licensed Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Jennifer with be working in OB/GYN as a midwife and will also be implementing a Centering Program for SCHC. Jennifer is Centering Provider Trained through the Centering Healthcare Institute.
