SYRACUSE, February 12, 2018 — Syracuse Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving the greater Syracuse area, announced that Zarina Smith, MS, FNP-BC, PNP joined Syracuse Community Health Center, Inc.. Zarina will be working in our School Based Health Center located at H.W. Smith school.
Zarina Smith received her Bachelors in Sociology from SUNY Institute of Technology in Marcy, New York and her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital School of Nursing in Utica, New York. While working as a Registered Nurse in the Syracuse area, Zarina received her MS in Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Upstate Medical University, followed by her Post Master’s Certificate as Family Nurse Practitioner. She is currently pursuing her Post Master’s Certificate as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Zarina spent several years working for the health center at Fowler High School. After leaving us for a short time to work at Syracuse Pediatrics and explore private practice, Zarina has returned and is now working at H.W. Smith.
